If you had to pick, which particular scenes would you say are the scariest? To get things going, here's one from The Exorcist 3 which got me the first time I saw it (if you've never seen it before I advise you to stick some headphones in and turn the volume right up to get the full effect):

This is certainly one of the best.

With all the crazy gory stuff that has been made since Psycho came out, this scene is still such a classic scary scene.

The Ending Scene from the Brian De Palma Classic Carrie would rank right near the top of this list for me:

This may seem tame today but I can assure you in 1925 it was shocking! The one and only Lon Chaney Sr. doing what he did so well!

Here are a couple of great scenes that are so well done in the 1961 classic The Innocents! Great movie that I don't think gets talked about nearly enough in discussion of greatest horrors of all time!

I'm sure everyone remembers this one. I must admit, the first time I saw this movie back in the early 80's, it made me spill my soda. Good times

This sequence from John Carpenter's Halloween is one that still gives me shivers. Simply outstanding!

Some excellent choices there, particularly the endings of Carrie and Friday the 13th.

Here's one that will stick with you for a long time! If not the most shocking moment in Horror History, darn near the top: Clip is from the 1983 cult classic Sleepaway Camp. Directed by Robert Hiltzik

Here's another Rad scare from the slasher classic The Burning (1981). You may recognize the one male actor in the front of the boat from the Movie Moving Violations(1985). He played Wink in that movie, the Horror fanatic! I simply loved his character. Enjoy

I've never seen the Burning before but that scene you've posted nearly made me crap myself. I'll definately have to get around to buying the DVD in the near future as I've been wanting to see it for a while now
