I buy the majority of mine used i have no issues with it. What makes it even more intresting there these 2 guys that work at the place i buy them all at they game me thier cell numbers so i can text them to see if they have what i want before i drive 30 min. to go browse. So thats super sweet and ill get random txts at times telling me movies that were just sold to them that they think i might have an intrest in

i get mostly all mine used. Never had any problems so i might as well save money. The most i would pay for a dvd would be £5-6. Unless im buying a boxset. I got the x files complete box set collectors edition used from amazon and paid like £60 and everything was great. That set usually goes for about £100!

I almost always buy my DVD's used anymore, unless it's a movie that I really really really want. Back in the day I bought everything new, but now that video stores sell off used copies I totally buy them - even if the case is messed up (I just go buy new cases and replace the old one - makes it look like new.) I also shop half dot com for used DVD and used VHS. Recently I bought a used copy of Munchies (half dot com) on VHS for like 3.99 - I have a laser disc player, but I don't buy LD's anymore. It's just too much of a hastle to store them properly.

I almost never buy DVD's... Yes, it's tragic and it makes me sad too. But if I was going to endeavor to get a DVD, I would want it new.
So - I try not to get used if I can help it.

I do get used DVDs, I don't see a problem with saving a little money if the DVD is in like new condition not all scratched up.

For the most part, I buy new. I always try to buy new. I do buy used from time to time, but that's only if it's drastically cheaper, It's from a reliable seller, It's in like new condition, and has all the parts to it (slipcase cover, chapter insert, etc...)

Most things I collect I want new, dvd's are not one of them. I love paying 3-5$ for a dvd. It has been a long time since I have dropped 15$ or more on a dvd. Only if its something really special. The pawn shops have great prices but i've gotten burned on non working dvds from them (I usually have lost the receipt by the time I get around to watching them.) However, disc replay is great. Never had a non working dvd from there. They must have an excellent disc doctor machine, the dvds they sell look and play like brand new.
