So around the neighborhood where I live, I am known as "The Movie Guy" when one of my neighbors want to know about a film they usually call me up and ask my opinion, because they know I will have seen it.
In all seriousness the first question many people ask me when they see me is "Have you saw... yet?" or "What did you think about...?"
With this reputation, people also know odds are I am going to have this movie they are wanting to watch. And they always ask me to borrow things.
I usually let people take what they want (just because it is hard to say no...) I am wondering if you all have this same problem? Do you let folks borrow your movies?

Yeah family and close friends anytime.
One time I even forced my friend to loan my DVD and watch it because he was saying that the Saw movies were the greatest horror movies ever and that old movies suck. I first gave him Hatchet to watch, coz I think that it is a good stepping stone to movies like Friday the 13th and other great 80's slashers.

I quit loaning movies, even to my family after my brother lost a couple of my DVDs. Now what I do is just make a copy of the movie so they won't have the actual DVD.

To family and close friends only. Once I loaned some DVD and VHS to a friend and she loaned them to her ex and I never saw them again.

I do, but i write the persons name down in a notebook and what movies they borrowed and when ever they bring some back i cross the movies off, and when they are done with the first set of movies completely then i borrow them more. It's just mostly friends and family though.
