why do they change the covers on some movies, like monser squad ,one crazy summer, innerspace, pagemaster ect. the new digitial paintshop covers look cheap and bad, i like the original vhs/movie poster covers, so why do they change them?

I know what you mean I hate when movies do that I think they want to make the movie look new and hip or something like that.

Well im sure they do that too to make it a little flashier so people who dont really know what its about or something along the lines of that will want to buy it. I know im guilty of impulse buys due to flashy covers sometimes.

You've hit the nail on the head. Also, I believe they do this to advertise a star in a film that might not have been a star at the time ie. Brad Pitt in Cutting Class.

I actually like some of the cover remakes. They are enjoyable.
