The original A Nightmare on Elm Street, i had a dream that Freddy's knives were slicing through my mattress slicing me up, thats pretty messed up dream for a 5 year old to have. YUP!!! LOL Before Robert Englund, for me it was Humphrey the Bear-Hooked Bear and E.T. suddenly to Tina's Death and the Bathtub scene. I had to sleep with the light on in the hall for the longest after seeing that.

For me, I've always built up my tolerance to scary movies since I was younger. But one movie that scared the living hell out of me was Pet Sematary. The scene with that creepy Zelda lady was terrifying. Something about that scene that still gets to me. If ya haven't seen it yet, go on Netflix. I always have to look away at that scene, creepy!!!! But for some reason the Exorcist has never really scared me, the only scene i really jumped at all is when you see that demon in the stove hood. Maybe it's cause i never watched it until i was way older, like High School or even later than that after i graduated. I kinda jumped at the end of I Know What You Did Last Summer when the guy jumps out a the end of the movie in the locker room.

The same one that Scared you to death, GoldFishEatSouls. The Exorcist!! I saw it when I was about 7 years old. The movie blew me away with it's Raw Power. I didn't get all of the subject matter at the time but the makeup and sounds as well as the atmosphere were more than enough to capture my soul and transform me into the Horror fanatic I am today. Thank goodness I had one of those cool moms that didn't shelter her kids from seeing R rated films. This movie still remains my favorite horror film of all time! I have yet to see its equal.

There were two of them. Both 70s made for TV. I was 7 or 8 at the time. "Beyond the Door" got to me. Ripoff of the Exorcist. My mother wouldn't allow me to see the exorcist as a kid. She saw it at the theatre when it first came out in (72-73). She was really freaked by it.
Second one I caught was "Dont be afraid of the dark". That one had me keeping the lights on in my bedroom for quite a while! I recently got it on DVD a year or so ago and watched it again. Needless to say it didn't have the same effect on me. Haha.

Probably Aliens, when the chestburster ripped out of that women's chest I also was creeped out when the guy came out of the ship with the facehugger attached to him. Also in 28 days later the church scene when all the zombies start waking up gives me the shivers.
