Just wondering if there were any other fans of Doctor Who on here and if so, who's your favourite Doctor, which episodes are your favourites and do you prefer the classic or new series?
For me the 3rd Doctor, Jon Pertwee, is my favourite.
Top 5 episodes are Inferno, Day of the Daleks, The Caves of Androzani, Earthshock and Terror of the Zygons.
Definately prefer the classic series over the new series. Although there are some genuinely good new series episodes, a lot of the recent ones have been quite badly written with plots that are too difficult to follow. Hopefully the next series will be an improvement.

I wanna get into Doctor Who but I don't know where to start such a long history. Genesis of the Daleks is a good one to start off with: www.youtube.com/watch?v=15yKfxzf3SgIt's one of the top rated episodes and it's definately Doctor Who at its best. It also shows the origin of the Daleks

Do they have any season sets of the older series?

They've released the 16th and 23rd seasons as boxsets but that's only because the stories in those two seasons are part of one long story arc. There are a few other boxsets out but these only come with 2 or 3 stories. Pretty much every episode has been uploaded to DailyMotion so you can watch them for free on there if you don't want to buy the individual DVDs
