Which do you prefer better? I prefer wides creen better because that's just how I am. I hate full screen because on the certain types of tv you play them on it seems like on full screen they zoom in to close to the actors. I don't like watching it on full screen because I feel like I'm watching the behind the scenes or something. But with wide screen format you get the whole picture. Sometimes I've notice I guess because of the angle or how they have the settings set differently for computers vs tv. It seems like with the wide screen on the computer you get like just a pinch of hair bit more than you would originally seen on a regular size tv or a big tv like a wide screen. Has anyone else notice this before? Why don't they have all the wide screen all in the same size I mean what's the point in having it in different formats of the ones just take up the top and bottom but then you have the anamorphic that takes up half the screen? Why can't they just have all of them in one size?

Widescreen, obviously because it actually feels like a movie. With fullscreen it feels more old-school. Like something you watch on TV. Even though, now most channels are adopting the wide-screen format.
And I think the reason why they have two different screen options is because wide-screen was invented after full-screen because of the old compared to the new cameras and such. And now some movies are being filmed in IMAX. The Dark Knight, which releases in July this year, is the first movie ever to have a scene filmed in the IMAX format. So who knows, maybe IMAX will take over someday.

Widescreen for me too... Fullscreen cuts bits of the movie off on each side so forget that...

I used Magic DVD. i use a few depending on dvd.... DVD Decrypter, which i use for most of the dvd's i burn... usually rips withing 8-15 min depending on content on dvd DVDFab: for Disney movies and any movie that refuses to be decrypted including scratched dvd's and protected dvds... this program will pretty much ripp ANY movie BUT it takes a good 30 min .... Imgburn which i have but only used once ... its a hastle i dont know why i still have it. To shrink the ripped movies to 4gigs i use DVDshrink ... i love it ... i can take out the FBI crap and remove features i dont want .... i burn with NERO

I'm a Widescreen dude. With Full Frame, its seems too normal. But with Widescreen, it actually feels like a movie, it looks more epic. If you catch my drift.

doesnt really matter to me. before i would strickly buy FULLSCREEN because i watched DVD's on my old laptop witch had a "FULL" presentation and looked better. sucks because my collection is pretty random, as in a couple series have full and wide titles instead of all of them being one.

I cant stand full screen dvds. Like i know so many people that are anti widescreen and i think they are nuts. I like seeing the full move the way it was intended to be seen i like seeing all of my picture....
